Privacy & data use
Your data.
Plainly.
What we collect through this site, why we keep it, and how to change or remove it.

Inquiry forms
When you send a Tickets & VIP, business, team or host inquiry, we store your name, email and the details you wrote so our team can answer you. For spam protection we store a shortened, one-way version of your network address — never the full address.
Email updates
If you sign up, we use your email, city, language and choices for the updates you request. Our service providers process data to operate the site and deliver messages. You can manage preferences or unsubscribe at any time.
Analytics
If you choose “Accept analytics,” we collect page views and clicks with pseudonymous session identifiers. These events do not include names or email addresses. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection; operational signup and inquiry records are separate.
Cookies & browser storage
Browser storage remembers your consent choice, language, contact-form drafts and dismissed prompts, and consented analytics session identifiers. These choices may remain until you clear your browser storage. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also sets a strictly necessary security cookie (__cf_bm) that distinguishes people from automated traffic; it lasts about 30 minutes and is not used for advertising or analytics.
Browser notifications
Browser notifications require your permission. If enabled, we store a device token, topic choices, device delivery details and, when linked to your subscription, its city and update choices. Firebase Cloud Messaging is used for delivery. Turn notifications off in your browser settings.
Recovering your link
If you lose your preferences link, you can request a secure link from Manage updates. It is single-use, valid for 30 minutes, and only a one-way hash is stored. The response does not reveal whether an address is subscribed.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are deleted automatically 24 months after they are received. Analytics events are deleted after 13 months. Expired recovery links and abuse-prevention records are deleted daily. Active subscriptions are kept for as long as you stay subscribed, because they are needed to send the updates you asked for. When you unsubscribe, sending stops immediately; we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, for as long as needed to respect your objection and prevent an accidental re-signup or send. You have the right to access, correct or delete your information: write to contact@afrolandunrated.com. The person responsible for the protection of personal information can be reached at groupecreatix@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Storage and service providers
Inquiries and subscriptions are held in a private database with authorized staff access. Hosting, database and email providers process data to operate the site and deliver messages; the notification provider does so only when notifications are enabled. Eventbrite handles checkout under its own terms, and this site does not collect payment-card details.
What we never do
We don't sell your details, share them with advertisers, or add you to lists you didn't choose. Optional updates (business offers, team opportunities) are always off unless you tick them yourself.
Your choices
The link in an update email lets you unsubscribe or reduce topics. A secure recovery link lets you change city or language and reactivate updates. To request access, correction or deletion, write to contact@afrolandunrated.com.
